I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

I’ve been a member of this church since I was baptized at 8 years old, and I am currently active in this church. My experiences being a member of this church is that you go to church because you want to be more like Jesus, even though you know those around you, as well as yourself aren’t perfect like He is, you still go. I know that it’s here where Jesus Christ can teach me by His Holy Spirit. Its also here where I know I can be given opportunities to serve others like Jesus did when He was alive. This has helped me know I am a child of God, because of the many things I still need to learn about His teachings. This church is undoubtedly centered around Jesus Christ, and I’m glad I’m a member.

Standing Up For Truth

Standing up for truth is about always being reminded how much truth there is in living by it. It takes a lot of courage to stand out in any crowd, but especially a religious one. The lesson I learn is that to stand up is to continue asking the Lord for his strength through prayer. Maybe this is why many hesitate, but whatever reason one withdraws from doing so, the Lord does not agree. No man, when he hath lighted a candle, putteth it in a secret place, neither under a bushel, but on a candlestick, that they which come in may see the light (Luke 11:33). We must remember that to stand out is not to be perfect. The Lord does not call those who are perfect, because there are none who are, but he calls on the weak, that He might make weak things strong” (Ether 12:37). Christ said, ” I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life” (John 8.12).

Testimony

I enjoy listening to people’s personal testimony about Christ each Sunday, and always feel encouraged by how others have come to know Him and how they were guided to his church, ‘The church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’. Below, is a long testimony but worth listening to brother in the gospel finding the church..enjoy.

Humble Servants

I love the wisdom of our Heavenly Father sending out young humble servant men and women out into the world to do missionary work. Our young men and women are simple, they don’t profess to know everything in the scriptures, they don’t have to know everything all at one time to be ministering to others. Many people in the world mock them for this reason and want to showcase to others how little they know. However, what people don’t know, is that they belong to God’s true church. They have the gift of the holy ghost. They have the message of repentance that they themselves have to live by. They have the message of faith in Christ that they have tested and continue to test out. They have a testimony of all of this and no man can rob that from them. The world’s scripture masters, theologians, and master minds will always be unequally matched, because they are too busy puffed up into themselves, too busy trying to make others look bad, always trying to be right, and always being wise into themselves not once glorifying the lord for his word. How so sweet are the servants of god in comparison, I can almost taste it’s sweetness (spiritually speaking). Humility is sweet. Might we seek to continue being humble servants of God. God bless.

(The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints sends out young men and women who want to serve a mission at as young as 18yrs old…this can also include young men and women not in this church who do Christ’s work also)
