There are way too many people on online social media to ever want to take other’s comments personally. Where one might take it as a personal attack, another might take it as word of encouragement. Either way, one can really never know for sure the intentions of another’s heart so it’s better to savor the good if there is any in it.
“Where there is no vision, the people perish, Solomon proclaimed (Prov 29.18). And perhaps nothing is more vital to our spiritual survival than a vision of who we are and what we can become, of our intrinsic value to the Lord, and of the unparalleled role we must play in these latter days.

“If your neighbors talk about you, and you think that they do wrong in speaking evil about you, do not let them know that you ever heard a word, and conduct yourselves as if they always did right.”

“Having confidence in others is having confidence in the Lord”
“Let us from this time forth live so as to create confidence in all men with whom we deal and come in contact; and treasure up each particle of confidence we obtain as one of the most precious possessions mortals can possibly possess.”

I’ve had this hymn on my mind lately, and it reminds me every time I look at my daughter how much responsibility I have to be good to her so that she would want to share her life with me through eternity. Also, I realize that this doesn’t mean without challenges, but through a process of learning to follow Christ’s way, overcoming and moving forward.
“I have a family here on earth. They are so good to me. I want to share my life with them through all eternity.
Families can be together forever through Heav’nly Father’s plan. I always want to be with my own family, And the Lord has shown me how I can. The Lord has shown me how I can.”
(Hymn 300, D&C 138:47-48, Alma 37:35)
“Personal worthiness is the key to the richest blessings of our Heavenly Father.” (Lynn Clark Scott – A Time to Heal; LDS Ensign April 1989)
